Description
Calamagrostis acutiflora ‘Overdam’ is a popular straight upright ornamental grass with narrow green leaves that droop slightly. It can be recognised by its decorative white leaf edges. It flowers from the end of June to August with purple-brown panicles that turn golden in the autumn. This ornamental grass prefers a position in full sun and the soil cannot be wet enough for it. Regular watering in a dry summer will therefore be rewarded. The plant is quite hardy. Struisite requires Requries little maintenance and is suitable for combining with many different ornamental grasses in the garden. The beautiful leaves and ornamental plumes make this ornamental grass very decorative until far into the winter.
