Make your own fruit jam

|InspirationTipsTips

Blueberries (Vaccinium), Gooseberries and Currants (Ribes), but also raspberries and blackberries (Rubus) are delicious in fruit juices or jams. This way you can enjoy your healthy summer harvest even in winter. And with Tasty Green, this is also completely organic! Here’s a nice recipe that is passed down from generation to generation.

Step 1

Start cooking your favorite fruits from your own garden. This can be a mix of berries, blackberries and raspberries. Mix the fruit mix together with about 50 ml of water. The fruit is ready when it has been cooked to a pulp.

Step 2

Now add gelatine. You can get this at your favorite supermarket. About 15 grams will suffice, but read the instructions on the packaging carefully, this can vary per manufacturer. This is also the time to add the sugar. Tastes differ, so it is important to taste while adding the sugar. When you hlike the taste and the mixture is sweet enough, bring it to the boil for about 1 minute. Meanwhile, keep stiring the mixture well.

Step 3

Prepare the clean weck or screw jars and fill them about 80% with the hot jam. Close the jar and set it upside down for 10 minutes. If you keep the jars closed, they are preserved for a longer period of time. After opening, it is best to store your homemade jam in the fridge.

Enjoy!
