‘Prunus Domestica Hauszwetsche’ is a plum tree that flowers from mid-April with white-pink flowers. It is an old variety that can pollinate itself. If other fruit trees pollinate the tree, you often get more and better fruit. The dark blue juicy sweet plums can be picked from September onwards and are mainly used as hand plums, but are also suitable for hot dishes. The plum is not only tasty, but also extremely healthy. They contain many antioxidants and are very rich in fibre, thus promoting a healthy bowel movement. The plum tree can be pruned at two times: in the spring after flowering or in the autumn after harvest. Always prune on a relatively warm and dry day to prevent diseases and leave enough older branches for good fruit in the new season. In the end, create an open tree with a number of main branches, from which the side branches emerge. All fruit, including plums, ripens best in the sun. So give this fruit tree a sunny spot in the garden.
