‘Fargesia scabrida Asian Wonder’, also called the red bamboo, is an easy upright bamboo that grows compactly. The leaves are long and narrow with a glossy green colour. A place in the sun is not a problem. The more sunlight the stems receive, the redder they colour. As a whole, this bamboo has a very nice appearance and contrasts beautifully with the many colour differences in leaves, stems and bracts. Even in winter, this bamboo retains its leaves and ornamental value.
