Description

‘Rosa Crazy in Love Red’ is a popular climbing red rose with fresh green shiny leaves. For hundreds of years, roses have been one of the best-known and most frequently planted groups of plants. The rose, especially the red one, has a symbolic value in various cultures. Already in ancient times, temples and palaces were decorated with them. According to Greek/Roman mythology, the first red roses were created from the blood of Adonis for his love of Aphrodite/Venus. Until then, roses were said to be white. Red roses are still known today as a symbol of love. The rose begins blooming in June and continues blooming until the first frost in October or November. To encourage flowering, it is advisable to remove old and spent flowers. The climbing rose likes a sunny spot and for the best growth you should prune it back to about 30 centimetres above the ground every other year. This way you prevent the rose from growing bald underneath. The best time to do this is in the autumn or early spring. The rose needs some help in climbing. This can be done by guiding the branches along a rack, post or fence. Roses are known to use a lot of nutrition. To keep the climbing rose healthy we advise you to feed it yearly with artificial fertilizer especially for roses.
