And the best part is, if you don’t eat the fruit yourself, the birds will be the ones to benefit. Fruit plants are very beautiful and grapes or kiwis are perfect for creating an edible wall.

Make your own fruit juices, smoothies or marmalade

Bleuberries (Vaccinium), Gooseberries and Currents (Ribes), but also raspberries and blackberries are delicious in fruit juices, smoothies or marmalade. By doing this you are able to enjoy your marmalade in winter, made from fruit harvested in summer. Our 100% Fruit team has managed to secure grandmothers recipe of marmalade with traditional summer fruits.

Step 1

Start cooking your fresh picked fruit from own garden. This can be a mix of berries, blackberries and raspberries. Now add 50 ml. water. It’s ready when it’s starting to look like marmalade (puree).

Step 2

Add gelatine. Around 15 grams will be sufficient. You can buy this at your local supermarket and the packing will tell you the right ratio. This is also the moment to add sugar. Because tastes differ it’s best to taste a couple of times to find out whether your marmalade is sweet enough. Make sure to stir everything well and cook for another minute.

Step 3

Now get your clean preservation jars ready and fill them with the hot marmalade for 4/5. Close the jar well and put it upside down for ten minutes. As long as you close the jars they can be preserved for a long time. After opening you should keep it in your fridge.
